OUR STORY / THE 7 ELEMENTS / SUSTAINABLE POWER

SUSTAINABLE POWER

Rocky Mountain Power

Powered by wind.

Our distillery participates in Rocky Mountain Power's wind energy program, supporting renewable wind-generated electricity as part of the energy used at our facility.

A harder cut.
A lighter footprint.

Hard Cut is made with a respect for Idaho that goes beyond the ingredients in the bottle. At our distillery, we look for ways to make the process more responsible. From the energy that powers our operation to what happens to the materials left behind.

Hydroelectric power

Energy drawn from water.

We also make use of hydroelectric power, drawing on renewable energy sources to help reduce the environmental impact of producing Hard Cut.

A second life

Nothing wasted.
Everything used.

And what remains after we make our vodka doesn't simply become waste. The nutrient-rich potato byproducts from distillation can be put to work as cattle feed, giving the agricultural material a second life rather than sending it to waste.
