OUR STORY / THE 7 ELEMENTS / WATER
WATER
Water from the Snake River Aquifer
Water source from Snake River Aquifer and RO water generation for proper marrying of the potato neutral spirits and water.
The name itself carries a piece of Idaho history.
Long before the river was known as the Snake, the Shoshone used a winding, S-shaped hand motion to describe themselves as people who lived near a river filled with fish. Early European explorers misunderstood the gesture as a reference to a snake, and the name stuck.
THE WATER MATTERS.
Water makes up most of what’s in a bottle of vodka, shaping the spirit’s texture, balance, and finish. While much of the vodka industry relies on municipal or commercially purified water to bring neutral spirit down to bottling strength, Hard Cut starts with water from a distinctly Idaho source: the Snake River Aquifer.
Clean. Consistent. Controlled.
Our water begins there, drawn from the Snake River Aquifer and processed through reverse osmosis to create the clean, consistent water we use in our vodka.
Reverse osmosis purification gives us precise control over the water that goes into the bottle while preserving the connection to its Idaho source.
